Ovipositors are egg laying toys, created & designed by Primal Hardwere (although many other toy companies have followed suit with similar designs since!) They are designed to deposit a gelatin egg inside of you while you are playing.

The gelatin eggs are sugar free, and melt at body temperature, so there is no risk of “losing” a toy inside of you.

For those unfamiliar, ovipositor toys are designed with an inspiration from nature. In nature, ovipositors are a real organ on certain types of wildlife. They are a tubular organ through which a female insect or fish deposits eggs.

Many people with fantasies of having legs laid inside of themselves imagine an alien humanoid or an insectoid creature impregnating or “breeding” them. This toy is insectoid in inspiration, if you hadn’t guessed that from the name “Bed Bug.”

Primal Hardwere has eight different models of ovipositor. The Bed Bug is a lot of fun, with gently sloping ridges. The ridges allow you to feel the toy bulging inside of you when an egg is passing through it.

It is girthier than the more petite Squick or Blip. This girth allows the use of a “medium” size gelatin egg. But it has a relatively short usable length at 5 and 1/2 inches. This short stature is great for players who prefer a thicker toy but not as much depth. It also allows the Bed Bug to eject the eggs into you more easily, since there is less length for them to travel.

Between it’s short, thick stature and the way the name “Bed Bug” refers to a type of insect but serves double duty inferring this is a critter you’d like to cuddle up to in bed, I’d have to say this toy is CUTE. Very cute.

The manufacturer also notes that special fluting on the inner shaft helps prevent trapping air while the eggs are pushed through.

I received this toy in a beautiful neon torchflame blue with a green & black marbled base, and it is stunning. There are no air bubbles or ridges. The silicone is luxurious and Primal Hardwere consistently provides this kind of quality.
